Since my last post things have been going really well. I had a great loss the first few days of last week and have since maintained that. My goal of course is to lose weight, but it is also to be healthier. On that note my eating has been spot on, simple meals....usually a protein and a side of veggies. I do chose to use healthy fats such as butter and coconut oil. There was a chocolate mug cake I made using coconut flour that wasnt the greatest looking, but was pretty tasty. There's got to be a better version of it out there, so the search will continue. Other things I've had include a HUGE salad topped with jicima, mushrooms, 2 crunch beef taco contents mixed in with a sour cream/salsa dressing. The weekend included a small fro yo and two small pieces of pizza. On those days I did not go over my calorie intake, just ate healthier. I don't want to totally deprive myself of all goodies but it is nice to see that I can indulge and not go overboard.
Execise has been most excellent. Friday was my rest day and every other day included 2 hours of exercise...either a class at the gym, an hour long brisk walk with my dog, a bike ride. My new Polar heart rate monitor is keeping tabs on my calories burned. It is really fun to see the number get higher and higher. This week will contain more of the same-good eating habits as well as lots of exercise.

Productive day
Wow I got so much accomplished, what a great Wednesday! My scale showed me down 1. 8lbs from Monday mornings weigh in, which was exciting. Today I was a beast on the exercise front. I did an hr of Turbokick, 30 min of Bootcamp and an hr of Zumba back to back to back. Whew! That rid my body of 1415 calories. Meals were half a protein bar for breakfast (I'm not big on eating right before I workout, but ate it between classes along with guzzling lots of water). Lunch was a 2 egg omlet with veggies. and fresh cherries. I snacked on a popsicle I made by freezing V8 fruit fusion juice (diluted) and some black grapes. Dinner was a delicious tilapia filet and Annies white cheddar mac and cheese with lots of broccoli mixed in. I ran some errands, did lots of Cinderella duties around the house and started organizing my craft room. This evening I went for an hr long bike ride with my boyfriend. It was nice and breezy, we could hear the crickets chirping, the frogs croaking and could see the stars shining as we rode the trails by our house. That ride burned 610 calories for a total of 2025 burned for the day.
Tuesday
Today is day 2 of a www.dietbet.com challenge Kim over at www.livinglaughinglosing.com set forth. So with that in mind I went for a brisk walk before work Tuesday and burned 400 calories. For breakfast I had 2 eggs scrambled with sauteed mushrooms. Lunch was yummy soup that I had pre-portioned and stashed in the freezer. Included in the soup was 93%lean ground beef, chopped tomatoes, squash, zuchinni and onions. I topped it with mushrooms and had more squash on the side. Normally I have great intentions but let produce spoil and go to waste, so Im trying to remedy that. Afternoon snack was a string cheese and dinner was half a ham sandwich with the remainder of my soup. After work I headed to the Rangers baseball game with my boyfriend Ed. They lost 2-1 but we had fun and refrained from any ballpark food.

Hello and Welcome
Thank you so much for stopping by! My name is Stephanie, Im 31 and have regained 38 of the 60 pounds I had lost over a year ago. It's a harsh reality for me to face, the damage has been done so now its time to refocus my weightloss efforts. I have been reading various healthy living blogs for the past year or two but have only now decided to have one of my own. I hope it will be a successful tool for me as well as others to get to a healthier happier place. I would love to hear from you in the comments section and I will be more active in commenting on blogs I read. Also, my interests are diverse, so besides my food and fitness focus you will also see fashion and frugal tips and other randomness from me.
